AIIMS Fraternity Took Pledge to Follow COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour, become a Part of Jan Andolan
Raipur. To adopt new norms in daily life due to challenges posed by COVID-19, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur fraternity took the pledge on 09.10.2020. Doctors, Nursing Staff, Officers, Employees and Students took a pledge that they will wear the mask, frequently use sanitizer/soap and will maintain social distancing until the pandemic ends.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has urged every citizen to take a pledge and to follow safety norms in their daily life. The main objective of Jan Andolan Campaign is to strictly adhere to COVID-19 appropriate behavior by wearing masks, maintaining hand hygiene, and following social distancing in view of the ensuing festive season. AIIMS fraternity comes forward on Friday and took pledge under the direction of Prof. (Dr.) Nitin M. Nagarkar, Director, AIIMS.
Prof. Nagarkar urged everyone to use a face mask and to follow three feet distance in daily life. Everyone promised to take all necessary precautions that prevent the spread of the deadly virus. They said that together we will win the fight against COVID-19.
Prof. S.P. Dhaneria and Dr. Nitin Gaikwad in the Department of Pharmacology and Prof. Sarita Agrawal in the Department of Gynecology administered the pledge. Other departments also organized similar programs. These were attended by Dr. P.K. Neema, Senior Administrative Officer Parijaat Diwan, Assistant Controller of Examinations Millind Mazumdar, Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Nitin Borkar, and Dr. Tridip Baruah and other medical fraternity-staff. Medical and Nursing students took a pledge through the on-line program.
