HAPPY NAVRATRI / Let us understand the significance of all the 9 days of Navratri

Is it the courtesy that lets you wish or is it the trend of the day that enables you to share? Are you not thoughtful of this insignificance in your attitude? Or are you not aware of the very essence that this day has? 

Let this Navratri bring a new spirit in you. Let this festive occasion be the reason of upliftment in your frame of mind.



Day 1:Goddess Shailaputri- We bestow upon her on the first day to prepare our mental psyche for the festival, to illumine, to strengthen our mental capacity. This day must have a special connection in the parallel era, since this year has brought much of chaos and turmoil in life due to Covid-19. It is therefore naturally important to bestow upon Goddess Shailaputri for mental stamina.

Day 2: Goddess Bramhacharini- We  bestow upon her one the following day to get the sacred knowledge to follow. To this day, we are in thirst of positivity to fight the circumstances, the news that is broght forward, doesn't necessarily encourage us, so, let this day bring enormous sacred knowledge, to stay positive, motivated and cheerful to the ourselves and the people around. 

Day 3: Goddess Chandraghanta- We bestow upon her mercy on the following day to seek courage and bravery. It is desired to get acquainted with these powerful mental weapon to face what life serves with each passing moment. A student might need courage to face results, a doctor might need courage to treat patients in Covid ward, a patient might need courage to fight the virus and so on. Therefore, courage is essential to survive the turmoil what life brings.

Day 4: Goddess Kushmanda- We bestow upon her on the following day to bless us with stable health and growing wealth. Her worship is most needed to bless us with a sound stable health, staying healthy is really essential and 2020 taught this lesson quite well.

Day 5: Goddess Skandamata- We bestow upon her on the following day to bless us with the ultimate treasure. We all are in a track of hunt, a constant hunt of the purpose of life, Aren't we? We often find ourselves pondering over the question of "what really is special in me? What is the significance of my existence?" It is only in the worship of Goddess Skandamata that you get the right answers to your fury. 

Day 6: Goddess Katyayani- We bestow upon her the following day to bless us with rightousness, often maidens or ladies worship her to be blessed of desired husband. Of course the world has got modern to the extent of attaining the one desired, yet, it is important to be blessed with Goddess Katyayani's blessings to get smooth post-marriage life.

Day 7: Goddess Kalaratri- We bestow upon her the following day to prepare ourselves to worship Goddess Durga, her worship itself is suffice to protect us from demons and ghost or in parallel era, from insecurities, doubts, delusions or whatever you call it. She sufficiently fills positivity and courage.

Day 8:Goddess Mahagauri- We bestow upon her the following day to bless with the fulfilment of the wishes put forward sincerely in these days. The wishes are definitely unending, but the joy of getting it filled by Goddess Mahagauri herself muse be beyond regular satisfaction.Dpon her to get the righteous blessing of perseverance. The final day must be a renunciation of all the 8 days where you have shown right dedication and apt belief in the power of Goddess Durga herself, the supreme deity, the warrior, the rescuer, the protector, the Goddess Durga.




Now, analyze what 9 long days bring, what it actually signifies and how it must be accepted as a ritual. Do not just forward a message with ignorance, but indulge in its roots with how it stays connected with everyday life, how it is important to bow down to these Goddess and seek there mercy. Worshipping these deities you shall embrace the divinity of Goddess Durga without whom there could be no Navratri, no credibility of feminine-hood, no power of Good upon the Evil.
